Most practice owners don't skip social media because they don't care. They skip it because there's never a good time.
So let's make it small. Ten minutes a week.
Monday: 5 minutes, take photos
Walk through the practice and take five photos. The team, a happy patient (with permission), the front desk, something new. That's your week of content.
Tip: turn your phone sideways for the office, straight up for people. Natural light beats flash every time.
Tuesday: 3 minutes, pick a theme for each
Give each photo one job:
- •Meet the team: a name and one fun fact.
- •Helpful tip: something you answer every day.
- •Behind the scenes: what goes on behind the door.
- •Community: an event, a partner, a thank-you.
- •Reminder: hours, holidays or a seasonal tip.
Wednesday: 2 minutes, schedule it
Write one or two sentences per photo and schedule them across the week. Facebook and Instagram both let you schedule posts for free.
That's the routine.
Why it still falls apart
In a perfect week, ten minutes works. But practices don't have many perfect weeks. Someone's out, the schedule's packed, and posting is the first thing to go.
That's why we built 298Digital. You still spend about 10 minutes a week, sending a few photos. We do the writing, scheduling and posting, every week, plus a new website with a 24/7 assistant.
And our promise: posts go out every week, or that month's fee is credited.
